Let it be Christmas

Let it be Christmas everywhere
In the hearts of all people both near and afar
Christmas everywhere
Feel the love of the season wherever you are
On the small country roads lined with green mistletoe
Big city streets where a thousand lights glow

Let it be Christmas everywhere
Let heavenly music fill the air
Let every heart sing let every bell ring
The story of hope and joy and peace
And let it be Christmas everywhere
Let heavenly music fill the air
Let anger and fear and hate disappear
Let there be love that lasts through the year
And let it be Christmas
Christmas everywhere

Let it be Christmas everywhere
With the gold and the silver, the green and the red
Christmas everywhere
In the smiles of all children asleep in their beds
In the eyes of young babies their first fallen snow
Elderlys' memories that never grow old

Let it be Christmas everywhere
Let heavenly music fill the air
Let every heart sing let every bell ring
The story of hope and joy and peace
And let it be Christmas everywhere
Let heavenly music fill the air
Let anger and fear and hate disappear
Let there be love that lasts through the year
And let it be Christmas
Christmas everywhere

Let it be Christmas everywhere
In the songs that we sing and the gifts that we bring
Christmas everywhere
In what this day means and what we believe
From the sandy white beaches where blue water rolls
Snow covered mountains and valleys below

Let it be Christmas everywhere
Let heavenly music fill the air
Let every heart sing let every bell ring
The story of hope and joy and peace
And let it be Christmas everywhere
Let heavenly music fill the air
Let anger and fear and hate disappear
Let there be love that lasts through the year
And let it be Christmas
Christmas everywhere
Christmas everywhere
Christmas everywhere

The lyrics to the song really seem to speak to me this season. This year has been a one full of trials for alot of my extended family and even us sometimes. David was deployed, we lost Jim, and we had a few scares with both my nieces.

Just the other day when I went to get my hair cut & colored I witnessed an awful sight. As I pulled into the car park (parking lot) I saw a very nicely dressed man & woman standing face to face nearly nose to nose arguing. I just feared the moment I parked my car & got out that I'd be able to hear them from where they were standing. And hear them I could, but not only that they were walking the same direction as I and arguing the whole way. I hear the woman say, "I've stood by you, respected you, been loyal" the man laughs and she says "don't laugh" and on and on it went.

I assume it was the end of a marriage or a break up, yet the still walked together to where-ever they were headed. I for one wouldn't have been in the mood to be anywhere with him or if I were him to be anywhere with her after arguing in such a way, but carry on they did. Very odd.

I've also been hearing a lot of gossip lately which just really stinks. People need to grow up. Who cares what so and so said. Why tell the whole world what they said, forgot, or did. Does it really matter? Is it that important? And did it really involve said person gossiping about it? Probably not and it just makes my stomach rot. People should be more careful and learn to hold their tongues at times. Know what I mean?

Then you've my youngest sister who seems to be constantly causing trouble - I really worry about her, we all do...but none of us know what to do.

I admit I fight the blues at Christmas time and I thought this year was a bit more difficult because I wanted snow and to be near family and to I don't know just be more joyful...it started snowing here and my spirit lifted so much. The kids & I played in the snow nearly all day, we were froze to the bone, and slept soundly. It was a wonderful day and it was what I needed to remind me to let it be Christmas...in my heart.

So no matter what's going on in your life, where you've been, what's happened this year, how many fights you've been in, or who didn't send you a Christmas card - remember to let the ice around your harden-heart melt and allow it to be Christmas in your heart this holiday season. Hug the ones you love, remember those you've lost, and treasure each and every moment you have right here, right now.

Let anger and fear and hate disappear. Let there be LOVE that last through the year. For the first Christmas gift was a child, a child that brought us a love like no other ever known. Happy Birthday Jesus, and Merry Christmas everyone.

It seems that getting ready for Christmas, and Christmas itself is a happy time for you and our family. That's wonderful! :)

that's so lovely! I just don't have enough good photos for something like that.
