Post 145: We're still here!

WOW! It's been awhile since I posted uh? Well, you know I kinda got stuck under this mountain of laundry - man I never thought I'd get out!!! I'm still not 100% caught up on all that, but I have a solution! Oh boy, what is it? I know!!! hahaha.

Well, you see I am having a Partylite Candle Party this Thursday! Nothing like having a party to make sure your house is in tip top condition!! David says I agree to these things simply for that reason. I don't really know that I work better under pressure - but I sure do get it done! So here's to hoping it will be spic-n-span!

The kids & I do plan to clean tomorrow - we spent yesterday & today playing. Brier & I went to a BBQ last night that turned into a dance party - that was very entertaining! We had a great time - it was so much fun!

And I realized I have some babysitters. No, not the kind that come watch my kids - but the kind that watch me!!! Brier and I came walking home from the BBQ/Dance party shortly after 11 and Les (Pub owner) was outside having a smoke and looked and me and said, "Your out late, aren't ya?" I was like, "uh umm no not really" - thinking in my head "I'm out this late every Wednesday night usually" or "am I in trouble and when did you become Dad"?

So anyway we talk for a bit and step into the Pub to say hello to those in there and when Colin sees me he says, "What time is this!" I said "It's just now dark". :) hahaha - what was I supposed to say?!

Today, I'm telling John & Mary about it and John says, "Well, we're just watching out for you darlin'". So it is official I have babysitters - which in a way is sweet -but maybe I should fire them, oh wait I don't think they are being paid...dang it! Guess I'll just have to assume they are being "sweet".

So I tell this story to David - know what he tells me? "Well, dear, I did ask them to watch over you. Just didn’t mean by getting you drunk all the time. And you’ve got to remember, most of them are old enough to be your grandfather." He does have a point there - but they don't get me drunk all the time, shoot they've never gotten me drunk.

The problem is this. I go next door to visit and have some adult conversation, with no intentions of buying a drink unless it's Wednesday...but if certain people are over there they seem to think I can't visit or sit there and chat without a drink in my hand! Darn shame those people know what I drink! I can be sitting there talking with Hannah and before I know it someone is handing me something. I never have more than one - and since I'm doing Weight Watchers - I guess I'm going to have to get my adult conversations there - because the calories in some of that stuff is killing my point system!

Anyway - moving on, moving on...

Ashlynn went to a sleepover last night and I had to pick her up at 2 p.m. today - so Brier & I went to see Orford Castle with my friend Amanda and her two boys. It was a nice trip, and good time out - with other adult conversation -that did not include a drink :)

After we got back we went and got Ashlynn & then Brier's friend Christien came over to play for awhile. He is leaving for the states tomorrow and is going to be gone for 6 weeks - I know Brier will miss him. Shoot! I will miss him - he keeps Brier occupied and they play together so well, that when he is over I can get so much done! I just love it.

What am I going to do with Brier for 6 weeks! HELP!!!!

Thank God, my Mom is coming soon and will be here for 2 and 1/2 of those 6 weeks! I can't wait till she gets here! We've so many fun things planned. I just know we are going to have a great time! It will be so great to see her. And thankfully, my friend Hannah has offered to drive me up to the airport to get her so that I won't get lost! Wasn't that nice of her?

So many people are going to the states for like the WHOLE summer and if they are not then they are moving back! It's kinda sad really. Here I am in England wanting to experience this life and the people I know are going home to visit or moving back state side. Thank God for Amanda! Least I have her! :)

So what else have we been up to? Oh, just killing time! The kids have started swimming at school and really love that! We've had some of their friends over off and on and boy does that keep you busy!

I joined Weight Watchers and go to that every Monday - plus I do the Jillian Michael's 30-Day-Shred workout DVD - boy that kicks my butt! I'm hoping to lose a good bit of weight by the time David returns. That's my goal anyway. The WW leader is really nice. I'm hoping to make some friends there, which is another reason I joined - accountability man! I need it!

I've refused to buy any clothes until I reach my goal weight or have nothing that fits! Then I'm going to have to find someone with some fashion sense to go shopping with me. That could prove to be a real challenge. :)

I've not done too much crafting lately. I feel like I've been running everywhere. The kids have had birthday party after birthday party to go to and on and on. I am hoping to do some maybe tomorrow afternoon or this week - depending on how spic-n-span my house is :)

I gave Lady a bath tonight - poor dog - smelled awful! I don't know what it was either, because I JUST had her to the groomers not even 2 weeks ago! She is loving that I can just let her out to run around the back garden now (yard) - we close the gate and David blocked off the fence so she couldn't get through it before she left - so I just open the door and let her go! She comes in and out and goes in the office to see Janet, James, and Jeanie at will. She really likes that.

We still go for walks and she still wants to see everyone in the villiage and barks like crazy at Barnabee (some cat). She still thinks she is a lap dog - one of these days she might realize she is too big for that but so far - it hasn't happened.

However, she is a little upset with me as I have now forbid her to be on any furniture! She just sheds WAY TOO MUCH!!! There is HAIR EVERYWHERE!!! I vacuum at least twice a day, we brush her, we make sure she is clean - I think she's not going to have any dang hair left! I have DARK red carpets all through out the house - that mixed with her light colored fur makes my carpets look WHITE!

So she is now not allowed on the beds or couches and she really does not like that rule - but I can't handle sleeping in hair, Brier can't either, it's not pleasant, and it really isn't any fun to sit on the couch and get up with a white hairy butt! I hope this shedding is over SOON! Or I might just go mad!

Well - that's that. We're still kicking butt and taking names - no really we are doing good. Looking forward to our Partylite party on Thursday (if you want to order anything let me know) and there is going to be some sort of dancers in the street that night (that should be interesting). Hopefully, I'll have batteries for my camera by then!

We also have the Pub trip coming up and of course my Mom is coming and all the sight seeing we're going to do then! After she leaves we will only have about oh 4 more weeks til David's return. So as long as we've something to look forward to and we keep ourselves busy we do right fine I do believe.

Anyway - I hope ya'll are having a great weekend & God Bless!
