37 Days to go...

...well lets see how did today go? I think I'm finally catching up on some sleep, except for the fact that its 1113 and I'm writing a blog and should probably be in bed. It just so happens this is my first chance haha. Even for a relaxing day it stayed busy. I've been extremely tired since arriving at my MIL's, probably something to do with staying up half the night with my youngest sister while I was at Mom's. The first 2 days I was here I laid down and took a cat nap! Then last night my MIL and I stayed up chatting way past bedtime and I slept til 1030!!! Can you believe that? Not one person woke me up either. When I got up my MIL was gone, my kids were in the living room watching cartoons and being as good as can be. I felt so blessed for the needed rest and felt sorry for my MIL who had obviously gotten up earlier than I. She had to go pick up my FIL from the hospital today. He's still a little weak, doesn't pay no mind to it though...he just keeps on truckin' thinkin' he can do any and everything and be just fine. I'm positive he plum wore himself out this evening working with the horse, but he didn't listen...not sure he ever does. Stubborn old bird. He's glad to be home, sure wish he'd take it slower though. I was able to come in here and check my email and reply to a friend of mine who I'd been slacking on replying to. Life gets so busy sometimes, and then shortly after Jim made it home, I took the kids swimming for a couple hours. We have a family pass and the pool will close the same day school starts so we've not much more time to use it up. I told them I'd take them each day weather permitting, until it closed. It seems so strange schools are starting up all around me and my 2 have to wait until we get moved. I don't think school starts there until 9-1, so they won't be too late. After swimming and enjoying God's precious sunshine we came back, got them all cleaned up, dressed, fed, and took them off to VBS. Motorcycle guy was speaking tonight and boy were they excited about him when I picked them up. They jabbered non-stop! They were pretty wired tonight. As a matter of fact I'm still arguing with my son about going to sleep. He is finally laying still. Thank goodness. While the kids were at VBS I attempted to give the horse out here a bath - she didn't handle it as easy as my sister's horse did when we bathed her. Something for a horse to get used to and she is much older than Cayenne's horse as well. So I'm pretty sure that had something to do with it. We saddled her up and I attempted to ride her as well. She did okay, for as nervous as I was. It's been a long time since I've been on a horse, plus I don't know this horse, have never seen anyone ride her and my comfort level was just not quite where it needed to be. She and I however made a big circle out in the pasture and that was about it. She'd had a enough and so had I. Time to cool off and cool down. So I brushed her out and put her back in the pasture. Then she looked at me like "where do you think your going?" So I stood out there and petted her for a bit and then come on in, but she still looked at me with that same look. My comfort level will come soon enough - I just gotta spend some time with her - and get my flippin' boots from my mom's. I can't believe I forgot those down there. Thank goodness my MIL and I were the same size shoe...if you can imagine someone having as tiny feet as me :) For those of you that might read this I wear about a 5/6. Sometimes if I'm lucky and I find a cute pair of sandles or something in kids sizes...I can wear a 4! Crazy isn't it? After coming in and cooling down for a bit with my book, I'm reading Fame by Karen Kingsbury. It's the first in the series. I read 2 others while at mom's. A Time to Dance and A Time to Embrace. They were both really good - and hit home. I love it when books speak loud and clear to me and passionately remind me about God's love for us. She's a pretty good author. Those were the first 2 books I'd read by her. Anyway - I was just gettin' into it and the phone rang - it never fails. I can be going to the bathroom, tieing someones shoe, walking out the door, have my hands full of groceries, or elbow deep in dishes, or taking a bath and he calls...everytime! It used to irritate the crap out of me and still does if the phone has been ringing off the hook, but now I kind of expect it to happen and I just laugh. However those days with the phone ringing like crazy make me want to answer it saying "Grand Central Station How May I Help You?" haha That's the way it was here the other morning. My FIL gets more phone calls than anyone man should ever get in one day. Crazy. So I told David that I connected to the internet just to get it to stop ringing here. They have dial up. Slow, slow, slow. Anyway the HE that called was David my husband. He jabbered about this and that and geocaching here and there - the man is plum goofy. I told him pretty much everything I'm telling you. I realized while working with that horse (I refuse to call it Chessey - as it was named...I'll call her Cindy or something) how much I wished David was here already. I know if he'd been out there, if I'd seen him ride her and seen how she did that I would have been 10 times more comfortable. He would have been what I needed. So I can't wait for him to hurry up and get here - so we can work with her. She's so freaking fat! I think she's been eating some of my MIL's cookies! She makes these cream cheese cookies that just reach out to you every time you walk by and then they stick to you like glue! I'm gonna have to run a mile tomorrow or something! I sure do love her homemade cookin' though - so much better than that stuff that comes all boxed up. Anyway - another day down, another day closer to David getting here, and another day close to lift off. It's thundering out now, so I better sign off for today. God Bless and Keep you.
