...well here it is nearly 11 again. It seems to me that after I pick the kids up from VBS everything goes south. Tonight when I picked them up Ashlynn was crying. Her feelings had been extremely hurt by another girl in the van. Apparently Brier had saved a piece of candy from his snack just for Ashlynn and this girl wanted it and when Ashlynn wouldn't give it to her, she got really mad. She was name calling and a few other things. The whole ordeal was strange. Ashlynn is very sensitive and gets her feelings hurt easily -especially when she thinks your her friend. So tomorrow I will take them all the way and pick them up, rather than meeting the van. It's really not that far and not that big a deal and if it makes them happy and not come home upset then its worth it. I felt really sorry for them tonight. They were their to learn about God and I believe had a great time, until the ride home - then it all went south for the 2 of them. Strange. They've gotten along better today than they have all week. Course I did have to put Brier in time out today - I'd been warning him and I'd had enough. I was tired of telling him. Before they went to VBS though, they were outside playing and there playing consisted of Ashlynn teaching Brier how to ride her bike. It has no training wheels. He did really good! She was such a good little coach and when he made the turn without falling off she was a great little cheerleader, yelling "Yeppie! Brier you did it! Yeppie!!!" It was great. I took them swimming again today - although it was alot cooler. It rained last night real good and cooled things down a bit. Thank God for that. It might even rain again tonight from the looks of it. There was a little lighting when I picked the kids up but not much since then. Other than that it's been an all around nice day today. Truly enjoyable. Tomorrow on the other hand - pray for me. We have to go to town, not my favorite idea. I'd rather wrestle an alligator than go to town. Hopefully we can get in, get out, and get back home...back out here to the peace and trinquility that I love. Anyway, that's about it for the day, I'm gonna go lay down with my book and fall asleep a little earlier tonight. God Bless and don't let the bed bugs bite, and as my friend Jenny says "if they do bite them back". :)
