14 Days to Go...

Well here it is, the 2 week mark! We're on the home stretch now, baby!! We have a wonderful weekend planned with family and friends and I know we're going to have a blast getting together, taking pictures, and making some memories to take with us in our hearts & keep us warm. I look so forward to Saturday, I know we are going to have a great time.
My friend Jenny and her daughter Mali will arrive here in a little while! I can't wait!! I am so excited to show her my home!!! None of my out of state friends have ever traveled to Missouri to see it before. I know Missouri's not all that great, but I think most anyone would love to show off where they are from...even if that means 1/2 the state! haha I want to introduce her to my grandparents, show her where I went to school (some of them), some of the homes I lived in, where David and I met, and so much more. I just know we're going to have a good time. I know we will have some sad times too, as she will return to Ohio on Monday and I will stay here and continue to wait for take off, but we will go our separate ways with warm memories in our hearts and she will forever be my friend...this I know with out a doubt.
Today, we kinda hung out around my Father-in-Law, Wilbur's, until he came home for lunch and then we left to come back to David's Mom's. We had a nice relaxing time at Wilbur's. It was nice to be able to lay around and not have to worry about much, especially after the funeral...I really need time to recuperate from the exhausting weekend. It's still sad and it still brings tears to my eyes...but at least I'm awake now and back to the land of the living. I'm praying for my family daily, they need God's strength to get through this. It was wonderful to be able to relax these past few days though. I pray that some of my family was able to do the same.
Well, I better get off here and call and check to see where Jenny is...so I know how close to dinner she'll be arriving and I can figure out what were gonna eat. Thank you all so much for your recent prayers, please continue to remember my Aunt Elaine and her children, Tammy, Michael, and Nichole as they work their way through this time of suffering.
I'll write again soon! God Bless and have a wonderful and safe Labor Day Weekend!!!
