...take off is coming closer and closer every step of every day. Everything we do is planned around making sure we are as ready as we can be. Like seeing Jenny one more time, going to the Rodeo one more time, having family visit with us all together, taking Grandpa fishing one more time, going to get jeans for everyone, doing this and doing that just for "ONE" more time, "ONE" more memory to pack along with us. I guess that's how one prepares for an overseas assignment. You take everything in, you savor every moment, and you store it up in your heart so you have something to hang on to...to look back and be able to smile at your memories. It's like I was telling Jenny I'm more aware of nature right now than ever before. I'm appreciating it and things more than perhaps I ever did.
Today I kinda cleaned up our suitcases they were a mess! Did some more laundry - it piles up so fast. And read the 2nd book of the Sunrise Series - The Family Baxter Drama, by Karen Kingsbury. It was so SAD!!! I'm not gonna tell you what happened either...you have to read them on your own! I've got David hooked on these books and he keeps asking does this or that happen? Like I'm gonna tell him! The goofball. He read a book called The Shack - and he has done nothing but go on and on and on about it. I think he's going to get everyone he knows a copy of it. So maybe I'll have to read it, sometime. He reads my books - least I can do is read one of his.
Marilyn is now officially on vacation! I'm sure she's happy to be off work for awhile. I wish my Mom could be, but she's got work and school and she's just so busy. It's hard to get time with her and I think she feels a little cheated, but what do you do? It's not like everyone can pause their lives while you get ready to move across the country. Ashlynn is going to get baptized on Sunday - I believe Mom will be here for that and maybe we can get a few stolen moments together then.
Well, that's about it for now. God Bless.
