Post 121: 1st Update on Hailie

I received this message from my Mom this morning:

"Hi Tonya, Well not much to tell yet. Last night about 8pm Holly called and she was very upset and crying and she told me that Hailie's temp. was 104.9 and she was scared to death. I told her to just take her to the hospital so she called them and they told her not to bring her in. They told her to just try to get the temp down and to give her Tylenol every 4 hours and Motrin every 6 hours. They told her when Hailie was hot to undress her and when she was chilling to wrap her up. Tonya, this little girl is really sick. We are all really scared. We can't get this temperature to go away this time. Always before we could get it down and get it to go away completely. but this weekend we can't ever get it gone completely and then it spikes higher then before. Well I have to go I'll talk to you later. Love, Mom"



Afterwards, I called to check on Holly. At the moment Hailie's temp is down, but the problem is it just keeps spiking right back up. Hailie gets the chills, she just wants to sleep, and she just cries.


Holly & Nick are both exhausted, both have to work today (to keep the insurance), so Hailie is with Nick's grandma and she will call Holly if she has to. Holly is not happy about going to work today, she's very upset, she just wants to curl up in bed with her baby girl and rest. The problem is Holly has already missed so much work that if she keeps missing days she'll lose the best job she's ever had and the insurance. Holly is just having a horrible day and she doesn't know how she's going to think straight today and I fully understand.

They are supposed to email or call me with updates as often as they can, and I will keep you all posted. Just please continue to pray for Hailie, Holly, and Nick.
