Email Up!!!

Yes! I'm so excited!! I can email people again!!! Boy was that ever getting frustrating, people would email me and I couldn't reply or nothing! Maybe whatever David did to this cute little pink laptop this morning worked. Thank God for awesome husbands, especially mine!

Anyway, what have we been up to in England? Well, since you asked...yesterday we went to a Christmas Bizarre on the base and did a little Christmas shopping. Then we went to the BX for Ice Cream and to browse the toys and see if the kids got totally excited over anything particular - glad we did this, because as I distracted the kids, David purchased the items and they were all 50% off! Sweetness!!!

Then we came home and they were having a guy come and play an organ and sing next door so we went over to listen for awhile and we stayed a good while too. It was nice, a little loud, but very nice. Ashlynn even got up and played a few songs, along with another little girl; Laura, and then one of the guys; Bret, that were there (they called him twinkle toes) got up and played something he wrote and sang. Honestly, he sings much better than Clive:) And I could have listened to him a lot longer!!

After that we came home and fiddled around then realized it was like 1130! So we went to bed. Time sure gets away from you when it gets dark at 4pm! You don't realize how late it is, cause it's dark all the time!

Today, we cleaned some house, did some laundry, David went back to the base for a few other gifts, and I've made several cards, if you'd like to see them I'll have the posted over at Patchwork PJ's in a little while. I've got about 4 more I'd like to make tonight. Then I'm going to put them all in the boxes with the items for the Soldiers I adopted through Any Soldier and send them with David tomorrow. Time to get them mailed! I'd like them to receive them by Thanksgiving but don't know if they will or not.

On another note, we still do not have the "US phone number" thing that we are supposed to get through Vonage...still awaiting for our internet to be connected! Thank the Lord we have an awesome Landlord who has wireless internet in his office and allows us to use it. They say they should have ours up by the 19th...but this is the 3rd time they've told us something like that...so praying 3rd time is a charm. We like to be able to call home for Thanksgiving, if at all possible.

Other than that, David's squardon is having a Thanksgiving day "lunch" thing and I'm cooking for it! That I'm going to this week. The kids have Christmas plays coming up soon - you should hear Brier say his lines! Ashlynn is mad cause she got stuck being a dancer...this should be entertaining.

Okay well that's about it for our news as of lately - other than it's really wet outside! But that is the norm. I hear some of you are already getting snow - we're told we will be lucky if it snows here, guess it didn't last year. I don't know if I will know what to think about that. I don't know that I've ever been anywhere, where it didn't snow! 1st time for everything I guess.

Anywho - back to my card making, we will talk to you again soon! God Bless!!

Hi Tonya, nice blog. Where do Londoners put their clothes, if they don't have closets? That just seems so strange.

Ah! I bet y'all have shrunks like we did in Italy. Thanks for stopping by my day at SITS. I am a military wife too. Well, he's a Vet now but the military is in my blood. We lived in Italy about 4 years ago and LOVED every minute of it. I miss the Bazaars they had on base and all the fun vendors. I have some great furniture and treasures from them. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I miss all that extended family. By the way, a friend of mine's son arrives to England on Tuesday. It'll be his first ToD. I'll give him your name and address if it's ok. He's a little nervous being so far from home for the first time in his life.
