Cardboard Hell

Cardboard Hell
10-05-08

FYI – this will be short blog, as I’m tired and headed off to bed, just wanted to give some of you something to read.

Today, we unpacked more and David built more furniture. We went grocery shopping – it sure is $$$ OUCH to restock a kitchen. However, I somehow was able to fit all the groceries in the Kitchen, in the small fridge and freezer and in the 2 cabinets, + my microwave stand. It all fit, with a little extra room, not a lot, but a little bit. Grocery shopping will be done weekly, instead of bi-weekly – BUMMER!

David listened to the Chief’s game on the internet radio thing. The man is having serious football withdrawals. The kids played webkinz and watched a movie.

I cooked dinner in this house for the very first time – nothing major, chicken nuggets and French fries…but it was rather interesting. I had to plug the deep fat fryer into this transformer thing, and then plug that into the wall – to be able to use the deep fat fryer. It worked. Never cooked dinner like that before.

The kids tried out the bath, and I turned the jets on just so they could see what it does and what it feels like. I wouldn’t leave it on for them, Ash was a bit disappointed. I don’t know if it’s a good thing for them to soak in, ya know? Is there an age requirement on whirlpool tubs?

I had a bout with my asthma – first time in a really long time. I’ve not had to use an inhaler in over 2 years! Course this is a new climate, got to get my body used to it I guess, and I’ve been running up and downstairs, had my head buried in boxes…so who knows. I’m better now though – sat here and chilled out for a bit, and now I’m going to go to bed.

I’ll post pictures of the progress tomorrow! Goodnight all!

P.S. Please remember my Dad in your prayers - I got word that he is in the hospital. Also, continue to remember my friend Jaynie, she had her surgery and is now waiting test results. And lastly David has a step brother & sister; Aaron & Mariah, and their Dad (not his) has passed away, so please remember them during this time.
