I believe it was yesterday that we picked up our UK car, we actually did buy the thing! The car is a FORD! David's a ford man, and I personally like Chevy's something I got from my Dad...so if this FORD leaves me "found on road dead" I'll be mad, but right now it seems to be okay, and I kinda like it. Just one problem I'm now sitting so low to the ground!!! I'm so used to being up high - in my truck. I'm having a horrible time adjusting to that, plus driving on the wrong side of the road thing. My review mirror is in the wrong place (or so it feels), I ride the curb or the middle line and neither is all that great to ride, plust the roads are so narrow! Please pray for my driving - it scares me. I'm praying I'll get used to it soon.
Also, we get the keys to our new home on Tuesday - Janine, our real estate lady, emailed me some pictures to share - so they'll be on this slideshow for you. Our belongings get delivered to us on Friday, and the kids are starting school this coming Monday the 29th! They are going to look so cute in their uniforms! I'm excited...things are finally falling into place and we are finally getting somewhere.
Last night we went to see Space Chimps, if you've not seen that movie - check it out! The kids loved it!! We had a great time.
Today, we've been rather laid back. We had a big breakfast and then got around and headed out on a "shoe shopping mission". We needed to find solid black shoes for the kids for school - not easy. We did find them though and man, was that not cheap...just as expensive as their uniforms. A pair of shoes for 30 pounds = $60! I will so be ordering shoes off the internet, if I want any. I was looking for a pair of warmer shoes (my feet are freezing...if I hadn't told you), but I'm not paying that kind a money for something I can do with out. Maybe Friday when our belongings are delievered I'll go through my shoes and see if there happens to be a warmer pair.
After, that we went to check out these ruins of this old Church, however we didn't get to walk through it because of construction and so it is shut down, until they are finished. We were kinda bummed, but we got some cool pictures anyway.
Then we went to a country park and took a walk through the forest in search of a geo cache that was never found. What we did find was blackberries, mushrooms in every shape and color, trees of every kind...and what we are calling "Harry Potter" trees. The kids had a great time climbing on a few of them.
I'm creating a slide show for you to see. Some of the pictures will look like doubles as there were 2 camera's going, mine and Ashlynn, but it gives you something to look at, at least. It might be a really busy week, so you may not hear from me much. I'll probably post something Monday or something, but I'm not sure how the rest of the week will go with getting moved in and stuff - so I'll update you when I can.
I hope everyone is doing well and getting ready for fall!
