Well, I didn’t get back to my story telling yesterday as you can tell. I ended up going to Mom’s Night Out with the Mom’s from the Mom2Mom Ministry I serve in and enjoying time with them instead of typing! So maybe I’ll just type up Monday & Tuesday parts of the story both today. You may have to ignore the book!
Monday –
We went to the Zoo. The Little Zoo That Could or The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo, which ever you chose to call it. It was nowhere near as warm as we expected it to be! We were in shorts with jackets and still slightly chilled! Plus, it was misting the entire time we were there…not so much fun walking around the zoo a little chilly and then add rain to it! We got to see all the animals; however the Tiger Encounter was not beginning until Tuesday so needless to say, we’d be coming back. We also didn’t get a chance to meet Patty Hall or Cindy – so we planned to return to the zoo sometime that week. We did however get some really great pictures of the animals and some really funny ones too. I think I have more pictures from this zoo than any zoo we’ve ever been too…but then we normally don’t return to the same zoo 4-5 times in the same week! Yes, we’re crazy.
Later that afternoon, when it stopped misting, yet was still windy we went out to check out the beach. This is when I first learned of the little flags. The flag was red, meaning the possibility of an under-toe was there. So playing in the water – no…plus it was too cold! I did get some pictures of my kiddos out there playing in the sand and collecting seashells though. We have a TON of seashells! And I of course took some pictures of the ocean, but you can easily tell it’s not near as sunny as spring break should be!
And that’s about it for Monday – so you’re lucky – I’ve not wrote a book yet this morning! Haha
