Post 130: Angry Little Boy

On Monday, I went to pick Brier up from School as normal. Ashlynn had chess club, so it was just the two of us. I stood waiting for him and as he come up to me, his head was down, his face was completely ascrew, and his little fist were clenched just as tight as they could be. Finally, he gets to me, throws his fist down, stomps his foot, and says "I'm about ready to kick my teacher's butt!" And he did not say it quietly! Do you know how hard it was not to laugh! He was so angry! Clearly, very upset and that one comment had me choking on my laughter!

So I say to him, "well, umm, {clear the throat} how come?" So he tells me the story. Apparently, a girl in his class knocked the container of pens/crayons over and he got blamed for it and had to clean it up. Then he left his P.E. kit in the floor board of the car and so he didn't get to go to P.E. (which he really enjoys). So basically he just had a very bad day and apparently his teacher did not make it better, apparently she made him cry.

We get home and he goes to play the wii. He pulls all the curtains in the living room closed and closes the living room door. After a bit, I go to check on him and I ask, "why you got all the curtains and the door closed?" He said to me, "I just need to be in my darkness". So I walked away, and laughed!

Later, when we went to get Ashlynn she asked him something about school, he informed her that he didn't even want to talk about it.

Finally, when David got home I told him what had happened. He decided it best not to ask Brier how school was today, but ended up asking anyway. Brier said he'd tell him later and never did!

I've never seen him that angry! I've seen him mad but not "ready to kick butt mad"! It was definitely one to add to the list of "Brier stories".
