Well, let me tell you. That is the sky today. Looks so fabulous doesn't it? No, not really - it looks dull and drabby and dreary in my book. That is how the sky looked this morning - that is how it looks now and well that just doesnt give you much to look at for the day - especially when it gets pitch black at 4 pm! So in search to capture something a little more pleasant than that dreary grey sky I scanned the areas outside a couple of windows.
Then I put my boots on, in the "British" way. Let me explain. After arriving in England, I kept seeing everyone with their pants tucked inside their boots! Umm...I thought, are they stuck in the 80's? No, they are not. It's simple really - they are keeping the bottoms of their pants (trousers) dry, because the ground never is! It doesnt matter what time you go outside - it's always wet. I also recently invested in a pair of rubber boots!
This is the view from the window in the stairwell. Can you see how wet that wooden gate and gravel look? Okay, so maybe not much there - but sure is prettier than that grey sky!
This is the back patio - the whole thing looks this way - I just wanted you to see a close up. I know you can see the standing water there! You can even see ripples! Yes, I was playing with my camera - but hey I did take the picture!
This is looking over the edge of the patio wall - see all those water droplets on those GREEN leaves! Yes, its always wet, currently cold, and very grey and we have very GREEN foliage outside, who'd a thunk it!
This is me trying to capture the rain dripping off the roof and ivy - didn't quiet capture what I was attempting, but you can still see water!
Look closely, zoom in if you have to, there is literally water standing in the leaves! The poor things are drenched! Granit - they are very green and very pretty.
Wanna take a guess? It's the inside of the outdoor trashcan! I know crazy uh? Thing is the rain shows up really well and its cool looking! Be thankful it's clean...haha
This is looking down over the patio wall as well - so bright and pretty green, where's all the dead brown leaves hiding? Umm - not sure.
Ah, a little change in color, completely soaked too!
This is looking out the stairwell window again, across the street - see how wet it is here? And, yeah there are a few dead leaves over there along the bottom of that fence...but look how much green we still have!
So the sky may be dull, drabby, & dreary...but if you look around and down rather than up - you might just catch a glimpse of bold, beautiful, and bodacious colors before the grey skies become black. Thank goodness our creator is a most creative and inspiring, God. The sun will come out again and until then you just have to look a little harder for that ray of light, because it is there.
Have a blessed day!

Thanks for stopping by my place, I hope your day is wonderful too!
Such pretty pics! I'd give my left arm to have such views, rain and all (I'm surrounded by dirt and neon here in Las Vegas. Blah.)
