Life with out friends who make you laugh and smile would be very, very boring!
I received my first "box" today in the mail since arriving in England. It was literally packed plum full! I don't think you could have fit even a sewing needle in it! This box came from my good friends Jenny & Christy, in Ohio. If I've not told you before - they rock!!! Anyway, they sent things for me, my children, and I'm hoping the map was for my husband - we all know how well I use one!!! Right Marilyn?
They were also nice enough to send a few things I'd requested. Jenny - went scrap booking shopping for me and sent me some travel/Europe stickers, stamps, and paper. They sent me some cheap tea light candles, cause I couldn't find cheap ones here. They sent me some really cute & rather funky socks, because I kept complaining about my feet being cold. I've never worn socks that fit like gloves! haha
They sent me coupons "galore!", the Bible study book they are doing "Mom...and loving it!!!", and a hanging basket for my fruit! I'd found a hanging basket here - but it was like 17 pounds! I only paid a couple bucks for the one I used to have - so I messaged the girls and said "if you find this..." Thankfully, they did!
Oh, and they also included a Hawaiian Lei - so I could feel a little warmer when it's cold out. Aren't the the sweetest, bestest friends ever? I think so! Thanks girls - you really do ROCK! I miss you guys so much, but just to show I'm doing well - I took a few photos for your viewing pleasure...you know me - I love my pictures, not necessarily the ones of me - but hey, sometimes duty calls.
We also received a package from David's mom today, with birthday items for Ashlynn and a shirt that absolutely fits! It says, "I'm hiding from my brother" - over the summer she would hide in the closet or the horse stall to talk on the phone to her friend Olivia - without Brier interrupting her. It was really funny - you never knew where you were going to find her.
She also got a card with some money and I have a feeling she will be buying yarn or cross-stitching supplies with it. She reminds me of a little old lady with her yarn basket - I'll get a photo of it for you. She really does like to crochet and cross-stitch though. She wanted a new cross-stitch picture for her birthday without the "x" pre-stamped on it, not a real difficult one, but she accomplished the last one she had without the "x" and really wants to try it again.
However, Jenny included an origami book for her - and well she is currently entertained! Thank You Jenny!!! They are home on 1/2 term and seriously need something to do! The box arrived at the most perfect time!
My MIL, also included my Creating Keepsakes Magazine! I love CK!!! If you didn't know. Especially Becky Higgins - I love her sketches. I need to find out if CK ships to APO's or not, and get my information changed, so that Marilyn doesn't have to keep sending them - if possible, anybody know?
And finally an update - I went to the Dr. today for my asthma - still having some issues with that and I now have 2 new medications. Flovent & Clartin, on top of my singular and albuterol. Fun fun. On Wed. I go see a Cardo/Pulmonary Dr. to get a better idea of where I am at with my asthma and what exactly is going on. I am supposed to journal for a few weeks about what I am doing when it flares up and whether or not its day or evening and that kind of stuff. So for a now - I got new meds. Great, something else for me to remember, right? haha
Last but not least, (yes I know I also posted this on PWPJ) if you have not seen my Patch Work PJ's blog you have to check it out! It's so cool - I've added some scrolling text and some scroll bars and stuff - David says I'm having way to much fun! I tell him - "honey, it's educational...I'm learning here". :)
Well, I'm off to cook dinner - then I think I've some thank you cards to make! And maybe some Halloween ones too...

And I need to make a signature line - that would be so much better than "~T~"
