2 weeks in...
and ready to go. Crazy isn't it? I've been here 2 weeks and I'm ready to go. Ready to have my own home back, my own stuff, my own space, my own pace - I sound so selfish don't I? Family opening up their homes to us during this time, spending precious time with us, and I'm ready for it to all be done, finished, and tied up in a pretty red bow. I don't know how I do this. I've been home for summers before, but the older I get the more I like being in my own home. This living out of a suitcase stuff gets old real fast. Not knowing whats in the kitchen or whats for dinner and what not is sometimes annoying...sometimes a blessing. Not knowing whats on the agenda for the day (even though most of mine are laid back) can be frustrating. Not having my own things to mess around with can leave me twittling my thumbs or over organizing the home I'm staying in. My Mom's bathroom - saw a Martha Stewart genie and I think it was me! My step-dad has said a few times "where is!!!" :) Oops! My Mom's scrapbook room is pretty much completely organized, except for pictures, and picking up my things - I'm considering organizing her mary kay stuff and her kitchen...good thing I leave this weekend...she might get worried that she'll never find anything again. Good thing I like to label things! haha Ah well, David closed up the house today and will be home in about a month now. I secretly hope VBS keeps me busy - this is going to be a long month and 1/2, but I know I need to savor every moment because it will be a long time before I'm home again. I'm supposed to be relaxing...I guess I should work on that :) Anyway - that's about it. I pick the kids up Friday morning, we're going to the fair, and a concert. Then I head to my mother-in-laws...after that who knows... This is where we are as of now. England is nearing the horizion :) Just gotta hang in there and treasure this unique time.
