Tuesday – April Fools Day –
Well we started off rather lazy and noticed that there was some SUN SHINE outside! So my crazy children want to go swimming, but the RED flag is still up so down to the pool we go and that water was like ICE! I didn’t get in, but you should have heard David when he jumped in!!! Froze him half to death and these crazy kiddo’s wanted to play in it. It didn’t last to long!
After that we got dressed and decided Mini-golf sounded better. So we went to Pirate’s
Next, we decided “I Scream for Ice Cream, You Scream for Ice Cream, We all Scream for Ice Cream!!!” and we went to SCOOPS Ice Cream shop! YUMM. Check out the pictures of Brier’s face…he was so enjoying that bubblegum ice cream! Thank God for napkins, bathroom sinks, and water!
Today was also April Fools and that is Ashlynn’s favorite
Later we went and did a little laundry I think (so we could wear pants out to dinner … we only took 2 pair a piece … it was supposed to be HOT) and we noticed that the Flag was now YELLOW and PURPLE…Okay – what does that mean?! It means medium hazard and dangerous aquatic life! Come to find out there were Jellyfish washing up on the shore! So we went to Lamberts (home of the throwed rolls) to eat dinner! It was great and I think it was everybody’s birthday that was in there…we heard birthday announcements left and right! But the food…oh my it was soooooooooo good. If you’ve never eaten at a Lambert’s and like homestyle food…you should try it. There are only 3 in the world that I know of. 2 in
Then to work off all that food we thought we’d go ride some go-carts. The kids loved that! The first time we did it with them, then we got tickets for the smaller ones and they got to go themselves. They had one complaint – “these ones don’t go fast enough!” Needless to say my children are thrill seekers! However, for them not going fast enough they rode them twice! Brier was always trying to pass Ashlynn and she was trying to keep him from it and then Brier would be singing away and totally not looking where he was going and then just all the sudden almost hit the rail and turn right before he did! We kept thinking he is going to crash! The last time he didn’t catch on that it was time to stop…so he took a victory lap around without Ashlynn! They did pretty good for little drivers though. All them dirt road drive times with Daddy and I must be paying off a little…however that “paying attention” thing…they need to work on.
And that was Monday & Tuesday – nothing super exciting! But wait till tomorrow…we go see dolphins!!!
