Alright, alright, alright! I know the weekend is over and I’ve still not posted anymore about our Spring break vacation! I’m sorry! I got busy playing…if you click over to my blog http://tonyasangelcrafts.blogspot.com/ you can see what I was doing! And I finished them! Aren’t you proud of me? Now, I really have to finish making some cards…Gina will be upset if I don’t have her cards with me on Thursday, and I have to have sample cards made up to show at Tara’s party, plus I have to finish our Vow Renewal invitations and the bbq ones…needless to say I’m behind!!! As always. So real fast I’m going to tell you about Thursday during our vacation!
We went back to the zoo! And no I’m not posting all the zoo pictures again…there are literally tons! We had scheduled a tiger encounter with baby Venus and the kids knew nothing about it! So when we got there we got over by where Venus was and waited on Cindy – the head zoo keeper. She arrived and took us back, we had to wash our hands and arms really good, then take off our shoes and in we went. She told us to sit with our backs against the wall because Venus likes to climb, and so we did for the most part…but she still climbed. It’s her nature haha.
The kids were in heaven, they couldn’t believe we were actually touching and playing with Venus. They didn’t want to leave! However we only had 30 minutes with her, so leave we did. We went for lunch and came back thinking perhaps we’d get to meet Pattie Hall finally. Well no luck, however Cindy saw us and said, “the zoo ain’t that big and ya’ll are still here”. So we explained to her that Patti is one of Ashlynn’s hero’s and we were really hoping for the 2 to meet. She said, “come back tomorrow on me, around 2, she’ll be here” and she told the ladies at the desk that we’d be returning as her guest. So cool!
What else did we do on Thursday? I think I took a little nap, the kids played in the pool, we went down to the beach and yes we saw a Jellyfish! Brier nearly stepped on it and gave me a heart attack. I think I’ve figured out why the leading cause of death In women is heart-attacks…its because of all those little moments when your children, spouse, friends, family…scare the living tar out of you! It all builds up and the next thing you know BAM! That’s my guess anyway. David says that the jellyfish look like a silicon breast implant! Too funny!! I said maybe that’s where the doctors got the idea. They saw a jellyfish and thought hey! Who knows!!!
Okay – that’s the short version of Thursday and what I currently remember! If I get some work done today…I will try to post about Friday’s events tomorrow. Wish me luck!
