Welcome to England Bound 2008

Alright, welcome to England Bound 2008! It’s nice to see you! As this is the first post on this blog (after making my blog changes) I’m going to give you a quick over view of where we are to date on our England Bound preparations. If you were reading my blog before I made the new changes then you are most likely already up-to-date, but for those of you who haven’t, here we go.

• October 2007 we received notification of assignment to England.
• Report date is September 30^th, we have to be there before that day.
• Medical clearances we have each had those, including our cat. She will have 1-2 more vet visits before her first flight adventure!
• We found our Dog “Brittany” a new home back in December. Amen!
• We are all very excited about getting to “fly” together for the first time. We’ve all flown, but never at the same time.
• We are also very excited about all the sites and things we will get to see! And me being the scrapbooker that I am – can’t wait to take pictures and scrapbook this wonderful adventure!
• On an interesting note, we read that the Milk Man still exists – in England!
• The kids & I have devoured books on England and enjoyed searching the internet for information. Ashlynn even created a PowerPoint at school and showed it to her whole class. My 2^nd grader – doing PowerPoint’s!!
• We received a few emails and links about things in England back in December, which is also when we had our medical clearance appointments.
• January we got our “military passports” and returned from spending Christmas in Missouri. Figured we’d better go home for Christmas, since we are leaving the country and all.
• We are working on getting our tourist passports. We have to pay for those and if we want to travel while we are there, like to Europe and what not we will need these.
• We also started cleaning things out and putting items in boxes and out in the shed, for a “moving sale” that we will have later.
• I decided I’m ready for England! Haha Not exactly when it comes to organization and what not, but ready yeah, I’m ready.
• I went to my last Scrapbook Retreat in February! OH, how I will miss those! I also found some England, London, Italy, France, Rome scrapbooking items at Michaels’ and on this one really cool website!
• We continually discuss things about the move, what to take, what not to take, what to sale, and what not to sale, and on and on.
• We replaced our couch, got a new one – so it doesn’t look so bad and we don’t have to replace it when we get there. We were also able to bless another with our old couch.
• February I signed up with The Angel Company – a stamping/scrapbooking company. It’s Christian based and I love their stuff, plus I thought it’d be a great way to meet people in England, if nothing else!
• Doctor visits and medication, but I’m doing good!
• Gave my testimony at M2M, to let them all know how much they’ve meant to me & to thank them. Kinda of my little “goodbye” early. So I don’t miss anyone.

Things are fixing to become in Full swing with our England Bound adventure. We got Lily’s airline approved kennel and picked out some dates. So this is what’s coming up in the near future as of right now.

1. March-April, Spring break vacation to Alabama. Requesting updated addresses/emails/phone numbers from family & friends, please contact me with yours. My birthday! 28, oh my! T-ball & Softball begin.
2. May, Memorial Day Weekend Camping. Brier’s birthday, my baby is turning 6!
3. June, School is out. Dentist appointments. T-ball & Softball end. Vow Renewal Ceremony. Kids to Nana’s.
4. July, My last Urban Plunge Mission Trip. Moving Sale, Packers & movers for items ship bound. I head to Missouri. Packers & movers for items storage bound. Final movers come for items plane bound. Final out the house.
5. August, David final out & head to Missouri. Happy 9^th anniversary. Lily to vet & final paperwork. Rodeo. Happy Trails to you BBQ – if you are family or close friend please email me for more information on this.
6. September, We are ENGLAND BOUND!
